The New American Dream initiative combines hard work, integrity, a team effort, and continuous learning to increase the rate of Black Homeownership in America. Our purpose is to provide racial equity and build consumer confidence through home buying education, accessibility to credit, and mortgage industry career opportunity awareness to Black communities.

Leadership

Charles Lowery
Director of Legislative Policy & External Affairs
Charles Lowery has over 20 years of mortgage and housing advocacy experience. As Director of Legislative Policy & External Affairs, Lowery is based out of Washington, D.C. and is responsible for designing and managing New American Funding's legislative and regulatory research and analysis. He also leads the New American Dream initiative, designed to build Black home buying confidence through education, accessibility to credit, and mortgage career awareness. In this capacity, he also represents the company in aligning with national organizations to further our mission of increasing minority homeownership. Lowery is also a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association 2022 Affordable Homeownership Advisory Council.

Anthony Holt
Branch Manager & Chair, New American Dream
What drives Anthony is clear: assisting team members work through challenges, finding solutions, and seeing them succeed in helping families achieve the dream of homeownership. Anthony was recently nominated to chair New American Funding’s New American Dream Initiative. In this role, he will be working diligently to address the many barriers to Black homeownership. Anthony will be working tirelessly with other organizations, as well as internal team members to create actionable solutions to increase Black employment and leadership opportunities in the mortgage industry. In addition, he will champion financial literacy platforms for aspiring homeowners.

Michael Moseby
Sales Manager & Co-Chair New American Dream
Having 20 years of experience in the lending industry, Michael has enjoyed working in several different positions. This has led to knowledge of processing, underwriting, and how to close home loans smoothly and quickly. Michael enjoys keeping the borrower and Real Estate Agents involved and updated. He is proactive with any issues that arise, so that they do not hinder any transactions. He strongly believes that a "personal touch" makes all the difference in proving top-notch customer service. Michael is known for his calm demeanor and quick response time to all current and previous clients and business partners. Working at New American Funding has been nothing short of outstanding for Michael. He is an integral contributor to our New American Dream initiative.

John Drumgoole
VP-Community Lending
Currently serving in a career capacity to support emerging and mature markets, John uses his skill set to help grow market share, working with company executives and leaders across multiple channels. He has at least 10 years combined leadership experience in Sales, Business Development and Financial Services. Over the course of his career, John has successfully placed over $1 Billion in market volume through strategic growth efforts. He is active in several trade associations, including the Mortgage Bankers Association. He’s an avid runner, foodie, loves travel, music, lifelong learning, connecting with awesome people, giving back to the community, and spending time with family.

Kellie Hester
Sr. Talent Acquisitions Manager
Kellie Hester started with New American Funding in March of 2015 and worked her way up to a Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager. She accomplished this by successfully supporting management staff in hiring talent across several departments. Kellie came to New American Funding with 20 years of hiring diverse talent in multiple industries, including administration, management, and technology. She has played a key role in the approximately 500% growth of the company staff during her tenure. In addition, she has fostered strong relationships with hiring staff throughout the company, which has helped her to find the right talent for the right team.
